A nightmare is a scary dream you have probably have had because of something you watched right before you go to sleep or because of something else that causes you anxiety.

You also found that a calming meditation is effective. Relax your mind and your breathing.

So your nightmares are probably caused by things that cause you anxiety currently, medications you are taking, and things that you watched immediately before you went to bed.
