Take A Cold Shower For Sleep Issues

Now this technique for falling asleep sounds funny, but I have known for a while that there are some benefits to taking a cold shower:
-you will feel more refreshed after
-the cold water will tighten up your skin making you look thinner throughout the day.

Since we are on the topic of sleep though, let us stick to that:

“There may be science behind this natural sleep remedy though.

Your body temperature naturally dips in the evening in order to make you drowsy.

If you exercise late in the afternoon, get overheated, or have menopause, your body temperature will be elevated, and you’ll have trouble falling asleep.

Remember, a cool body is a sleepy body!

But don’t go jump in the shower just yet!

There’s a right way and a wrong way to do this.

Begin showering in a warm shower at whatever temperature you prefer and bathe normally.

When you’re clean, slowly turn the hot water off, leaving only the cold water running.

Go as cool as you can stand it.

Step right into a cold-water shower.

The sudden shock will wake you up and raise your blood pressure”

There have been studies made on this type of practice before bed and they have shown to work wonders on people who suffer from insomnia.

Such good results that they are thinking of coming up with “cooling caps” that you can wear for bed to sleep sounder, and it will apparently help all insomniacs.

I’m guessing all our brains need to just cool down before completely relaxing and drifting off into the abyss of dreams, wonder, and mysteries.

Just like a phone that has been working way too hard all day and it is overheated and nearly burns your hand because of the heat,

When you close all those apps and set it aside for a while, it cools down and starts acting like its normal self again.

Yeah, that is a lot like us humans, we have more in common with technology than I thought.

Except phones can be put to sleep on command, and humans have to search for remedies especially if we are trying to stay on the natural spectrum of things.

I am of the opinion and also guessing all our brains need to just cool down before completely relaxing and drifting off into the abyss of dreams, wonder, and mysteries. Taking a cold shower if you have sleepless night is pretty cool.

I know cold water helps to sleep well at night but I didn’t know I have to slowly change the temperature of the water from hot to cold for better effect. This is educative, thanks for this post.
